Holidays in Poland 2023, 2024, 2025 (official dates, days off)

In this article we will analyze such a difficult issue as holidays in Poland 2023, 2024, 2025. From it you will learn how Polish public holidays differ from ordinary ones. We will tell you when there will be public holidays and days off in Poland in 2023, 2024, 2025. We also provide lists of all significant Polish holidays and significant dates.

What holidays are there in Poland?

Many states have precise definitions of public holidays. In Poland there is still no such definition. For example, if public holidays in Germany are official days off, then in Poland these two concepts are in no way connected. There is also no general list of public holidays. They are established or abolished by separate laws.

INTERESTING FACT! The only difference between Polish public holidays and ordinary ones is described in the Law on the Coat of Arms, Colors and Anthem. Article 7 of this law states that flags must be displayed on government buildings on public holidays. They are no longer any different from ordinary ones from a legal point of view.

There are also holidays that are fixed by decision of the Polish Sejm. These days can be described as memorable dates. On such holidays, various types of events can be held (meetings of government officials, celebrations, memorial processions, etc.). In fact, they are not full-fledged Polish holidays, so we have included them in a separate list. You can view them using this link.

The list of Polish public and ordinary holidays is constantly changing. This happens especially often in recent years. From 2000 to 2023, the Republic of Poland added 10 public holidays and 13 ordinary ones. One holiday was also cancelled.
