School Holidays in Peru 2025
Important! All school holidays start on Saturday and end on Sunday. Thus, the first and last days of the term fall on Monday and Friday, respectively.
Below are the school holidays in Peru 2025. The dates are officially defined and approved in Ministerial Resolution No. 556-2024 of November 5, 2024. They are mandatory for all public schools and can only be changed in an emergency.
- Summer holidays 2024-2025: from 21 December 2024 to 16 March 2025 (12 weeks).
- Autumn holidays: from 17 to 25 May 2025 (one week).
- Winter holidays: from July 26 to August 10, 2025 (two weeks).
- Spring Break: October 11-19, 2025 (one week).
- Summer holidays 2025-2026: from December 20, 2025 to March 15, 2026 (12 weeks).
Days off from classes in the 2025 academic year
In the previous section, we listed the school holidays 2025 in Peru. But this is not the only time when children take a break from lessons. Schools in Peru are also closed on public holidays.
There are 15 national holidays in 2025. Eight of the holidays fall on school holidays, Saturdays, or Sundays. The remaining seven public holidays in Peru fall during school week blocks. On these days, schools are closed to teachers and students. Here is a list of the exact dates of the school-free holidays:
