From this article, you will learn the most reliable information about the school holidays in Israel 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. We will give the official and predicted dates of the vacation periods approved by the Ministry of Education and the Teachers’ Union. ALYO.info will also list the holidays on which schools are closed depending on religion.

You need to know: What schools are in Israel

Religion plays a big role in choosing a school in Israel. Most schools are designed for Jews, but there are educational institutions for representatives of other religions. They have the same school year schedule, but the observed holidays are different. In total, there are four groups of schools:

    1. Catholic, Latin, Angelic and Maronite schools.
    2. Greek, Orthodox and Armenian Orthodox schools.
    3. Muslim (Arab) schools.
    4. Druze schools.

Depending on the type of school, holidays may be added to the school year schedule. There are general recommendations, but administrations can adjust the schedule. The same applies to schools with in-depth study of the Torah and schools located in kibbutzim. The official schedule of the Israeli school holidays 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 is not always observed for them.

We will give the schedule of religious holidays at the end of the article. Below you will find a vacation schedule in Israeli schools, indicating free days from school, dedicated to the holidays.
